What is Network Marketing ?

I am sure that most of you when first talked to their prospect about Network Marketing, the response you would have received was mostly negative. And your prospect would have hundreds of reasons for not joining your network marketing company.

But did you ask them, a very simple question – What is Network Marketing?

In my view there is not even a single person who has not heard of a Network Marketing company, but most of them plain and simple do not know what it entails. If you have already joined a Network Marketing company you would have heard hundreds of success stories, but then there are thousands who have faded away…..

Newbies in Network Marketing

What most of the newbies do (including me), is that they are so excited about this opportunity they have seen that they want to tell it to the whole world. As one of my friends in the community says ” If you know the cure for cancer, would you not shout at top of your voice and tell the whole world?”

Who will not?

But understanding how this opportunity works and what is the best way to go about it is the most important thing you must have in your mind even before you talk to a soul around you. Doing this will help you to be in the successful category and not in the latter.

Who are you?

You may call yourself anything, a representative of the company or a salesperson, it does not matter. Bottom line is that once you have joined a Network Marketing company you become a sales representative for a said company. (I know I am stepping on lot of toes by saying this.) There are lot of people out there who use fancy names and titles but truth is truth. You become a sales representative for a company to sell their products and services. By using your network of friends and family, the company can reach it’s targets and future customers that they may never have had contact with before. You make a commission of the sales you provide or the customer sign ups you achieve.

What you need to know?

Even Before you sign up with a company you need to consider a few things : -

1. Why have you considered joining into such a program.
2. What are you looking for
3. How much time can you give to this opportunity
4. Do you know your limitations. And what are you doing about it

All things kept aside your WHY is the most important question you have to ask yourself before joining any company. What is your NEED? What is your WANT?

There are various reasons for joining this opportunity, you may be looking to replace your source of income or you just want to supplement the income you already have. Whatever your reasons may be, you have to keep those reasons alive inside your mind and heart every single moment from here on.

This is a business and whoever says you do not need to give a lot of time is just BS(ing) you. As with any other business you have to devote time. Time to learn first of all, then time to implement what you have learnt and eventually time to teach what you have learnt. This is not a get rich scheme, but sure is a GET RICH SURE PLAN.

You must be willing to work it and treat it as such.

It looks very easy when someone is giving a presentation and says all you need to sacrifice is one hour out of the 24 hours you have in a day, surely you can do it? The question is can you. When I stepped into this business it was very easy for the first few days but as time went by taking out even 30 minutes for this business was becoming very difficult. And over a period of time you just leave it and become a faliure. Had it not been for my husband and few very close friends I would have been in the latter part of the group saying all the negativity about Network Marketing.

Many who are successful devote hours daily (the keyword being daily)  to working their business and getting it to where it is today. By understanding this up front it will prevent you from being frustrated and stressed later on in the process.

There are many who have taken up this business and are booming in success. There are many others who have not flared so well. Whatever the case may be, you can research network marketing and know that you have made an informed decision on your career path.

Know that by devoting time and patience you will see results in the future.
