This was something which made me think a lot. Some people are always making changes to their lives. Others, on the other hand, are content with their life and resist the change.

What Mr. Einstein said is true and change is a good thing because it makes our lives more interesting and offers opportunities to grow. But there are many things we should look at before we take this decision.

If we did not change we would still be living in a world of confusion. We would still be in the caves fighting the wild animals. Sometimes change comes from within a human being and at other times it is thrown upon him. If we are not mad and I hope we are not then we change. 

A change can also be an opportunity to learn. It brings new challenges into life and test the ability of the person to adapt and grow. When we try new things we improve our skills and many times it makes our lives better.

From the beginning of time if there was no change I would have not be sitting here writing this essay. I would be a fish or a monkey somewhere hanging in the forest. The desire of a bacterium to change made me happen.

I live in India and there were times when women were burnt after their husbands died. People changed and they improved the system and now we care for the women of our times. Change is a good thing if we see all the positive things it has given us.

On the other hand, change can also become a bad thing if we do not accept it. When computers were invented lot of people resisted this change and lost their jobs because they did not accept this change and did not learn how to use the computers. If these people had been willing to accept the challenge and learn a new skill, they would not have lost their jobs.

There are other factors which decide if change is good or bad. How does the change happen or how fast the change happens. When internet was started it changed the world. With internet we could communicated with anyone in the world instantly. But the change was so fast that we could not control it. There were no laws made and people were not safe on the internet. With time this has changed a lot but in the starting the change arose many questions. It had both the good and the bad elements in it.

Sometimes it is the way the change happens which determines if it is good or bad. People wanted to change the way they lived their lives and suffered from many diseases. This desire to change made them look at diseases in a different way and now this change has lead to many medicines which improve our lives.

There are changes which we contribute to but cannot control. Changes in weather can make our life very difficult. Some people do not believe in this change because this change is too slow. In this case because the speed of change is too slow it can lead to the death of the planet.

So change can be a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes it depends on the way the change happens, at other times how fast it happens and even depends on if we can control it or not. In many cases, change is both good and bad based on the way people look at it.

If there was no change, there would be no butterflies

“If there was no change, there would be no butterflies”. This statement is both simple and true. I think change is necessary and it is also a burden. Some change results in bad things happening but there are also so many good things that have come out of change.

In the end I would say that change is good and bad at the same time. It depends on the person who is affected by the change and how he handles it.

After analyzing both sides of the argument, it is easy to see that change is a good thing. It provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow. It also makes our lives more interesting.”

Unemployment is at an all time HIGH.

Entire industries are DOWNSIZING.

The Stock Market is in the tank, TRILLIONS have been lost and it’s not over.

One of the richest man in America (Warren Buffet) said it best:

 ” This Downturn could last another eight years”

What?

You would not be affected? You are beyond the problems in the economy.

Let me ask you a question?

If you lost your job tommorrow. And I do not care if you are a CEO , dental hygienist or a plummer, If you lost your job tomorrow and could not find work for let’s say eight weeks would you have enough money to survive?

YES or NO ?

If the answer is YES…….what if it took you 16 weeks ?…….. 52 weeks?

If the answer is NO guess what ?

You need to make more money NOW. This is not rocket science this is reality and according to the stastistics it the reality for the majotiry of the population because if you run out of money in a slow economy

• You will suffer
• Your family will suffer
• Your kids will suffer

But you got a great job right ? You are rescission proof right? WRONG.

I don’t care who you are or what you do. In a week economy the rules change because lets face it you work for somebody else; if you have a job how secure can you possibly be ? Think about it if they find someone:

• faster than you
• cheaper than you
• younger than you
• better looking than you

You are out of a job so what are your options ? 

OPTION NO. 1 : Go out and get a second job

Sure why not? But chances are you won’t make enough to pay the taxes; the additional child care or even the extra mileage on our car and that is if even you find a job…… of course even in a slow economy we need fry cooks and third shift security guards

OPTION NO. 2 : Sit back and do nothing you got a Retirement Plan

OK you could always relax on a retirement plan and that was a good plan. But have you checked it lately ?

Don’t forget that money; your money is not sitting in some magic vault where it get’s sprinkled with 8% pixie dust. It’s in the stock market; the risk market; the worst market we have seen in years and guess what ?  When the market goes down the tubes your money goe down with it.

OPTION NO. 3 :Start your own Business

Great…. Of course first of all you have to

• Lease an office
• Buy a phone system
• Sign a contract
• Get a CPA
• Letterhead
• Inventory
• Warehouse space
• and oh yeah employees

.                                                             …………that sound’s like fun right

And with 95% of small businesses going out of business in the first year GOOD LUCK

or

Of course you could buy a franchise; a proven system marketing tools training…….. good option… if you got hundred thousand to a million cash lying around.

You could become a freelancer or an independent contractor. Great if you have marketable skill and patience to be a sales person, book keeper and a collections manager. Bottom line starting a business from scratch is tough, hard, risky work. But owning your own business is

• the only way to take the control back
• the only way to control your time cash flow and quality of life

Those people are on the golf course at 11 am on a Thursday the people fishing with their kids at three PM on a Tuesday the people driving their Mercedes and porches. Chances are those people own their own business and the good news

YOU CAN TOO

Why a Home Based Business?

Look we were born free, and were meant to live free. This world was built on small business. Working for someone else be it a corporation or a government is a new phenomenon; owning your own business; being your own boss that is the dream.

So what are the option for the rest of us ? What kind of business can a average person get involved in with little capital investment… with little or no business experience or expertise……. part time or full time.
